As a behind the scenes member of the Foundation, I felt violated when I heard the news of their new registry. I had just spoken to their office a week before but this PLAN was not revealed to me when I asked about pending paperwork. Sure there were rumors that something was amiss but how could they have the audacity to create their own registry as I for one, joined because I was passionate about this breed and keeping my horses true to their Spanish heritage though Spain? I believe this will cause a bigger nightmare in the whole paperwork issue and that they are not acting within the best interest of the breed.

In an email from IALHA yesterday, they stated that they will no longer have foreign judges and Spanish specialty classes. With everyone breaking their Spanish ties it will be curious to see what direction theses horses will take.

Thank you Kimberly for keeping dedicated lovers of the PRE abreast of current news as I look to this site and USPRE for future information on our beloved horses.

This colt, Altanero-AC, exhibits amazing grace, elegance, class and distinction. He is a tremendous compliment to all U.S. PRE organizations and to the breeder and his stallion for producing the caliber of horse that Spain, the originator of the PRE horse, is eager to bring back "home." Congratulations to all PRE horse breeders in the United States that are working towards the goal of breeding quality horses that will be some day showcased worldwide.

To date we have had two of our horses with the riders at CAR /ANCCE. Each has stayed in training there for about a year before being sold on - one to the States, one to the UK. The professionalism and expertise the riders display, together with their genuine care for the horses, makes it an absolute pleasure to be around them and to watch them work.
