USPRE 2008 Dressage All Breeds Awards Program A Success

USPRE is happy to announce that its first year of hosting dressage awards through the USDF All Breeds Program has been a success! In June of this year we were informed that we were recognized by the United States Dressage Federation as the representative organization for the PRE horse, and that our membership qualified to participate in the All Breeds Program for 2008 This program rewards the highest scoring horse and rider pairs in the country by breed and at each of the various dressage levels, according to a strict criteria determined by USDF Although the 2008 program was already in its 8th month at the time that we were issued in, USPRE registered 45 horses and finished with 9 different horse/rider pairs winning 20 different awards collectively--from Training Level through Grand Prix, and in Adult Amatuer, Open, Musical Freestyle and Vintage Cup categories Our special thanks to Kelly Farmer for coordinating this program with USDF and congratulations to this year's winners! Each of them qualifies to attend the USDF symposium in Denver in December to accept their awards, and each will be receiving a commemorative sash and horse blanket from USPRE!

Special mention should be made of USPRE Board member Janne Rumbough, who obtained national rankings both in the All Breeds as well as the open Adult Amateur and Vintage Cup categories Janne finished 8th in the nation at First Level with JR by Gaucho and 4th nationally in the Vintage Cup, also with JR Janne's work over the years with PREs has proven that the PRE horse can compete in the highest levels of competition and against the best horses of any breed USPRE is committed to the promotion of the PRE horse in sport, especially dressage, and we appreciate all of you who are proving to the competition world the value of our noble horse
