The Pura Casta awards recognize individuals that have made unique contributions to promote and protect the heritage of the Pure Spanish horse Past recipients include renowned D Alvaro Domecq Romero, D Juan Manuel Munoz, Fuego XII rider and, USPRE’s own Alexander Zilo The seventh edition of the Pura Casta Cruzcampo awards were held this year in Seville on November 24^th 2011 Chaired by D Joaquin Fernandez Cepedello, publisher, breeder & judge, the awards were presented to four 4 distinguished individuals: D Daniel Martin Dockx from Malaga for achieving the title of Dressage Champion of Spain 2011 with GRANDIOSO III The award was presented by Grandioso’s Owner, Kimberly Van Kampen Boyer US Olympian, Courtney King-Dye was in attendance to celebrate the occasion [caption id="attachment_3794" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Daniel & Afrika Martin"][/caption] [caption id="attachment_3795" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Daniel Martin, Courtney King, Kimberly Boyer"][/caption] D Francisco Javier Ruiz Garrido for achieving the title of Monta Espanola Champion of Spain 2011 with ZAHARENO III The award was presented by Owner, D Alvaro Domecq Romero D Abelardo Morales Puron for his promotion of the Pure Spanish horse overseas D Miguel Angel de Cardenas Osuna for his breeding program [caption id="attachment_3802" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="D Daniel Martin & Miguel Angel Cardenas"][/caption]

In the days following the award, Danny Martin, Kimberly Boyer and GRANDIOSO III traveled to Pappas Amadeus Horse Indoors 2011 Salzburg CDI4 in Vienna to compete alongside Anky  van Grunsven and SALINERO Danny Martin and Grandioso III achieved a 68223 % at Grand Prix and 71975 % at Grand Prix Kur Congratulations to the pair for their impressive international scores
