2017 Florida Series High Point Champions

The United States PRE Association is pleased to announce the Grand Champions of the 2017 Florida High Point Series This past winter season's series consisted of four shows from the Global Dressage Festival, during which PREs competed at all levels for the top score in each division The Grand Champions are selected by way of totals of the 3 highest scores achieved at the highest level competed, from at least two of the four qualifying shows This year, our Florida Series Grand Champions are all new faces to our High Point series and were top-scorers in open competition in their divisions While the PRE horse is still the rare breed at the Festival, the excellent results of USPRE members and their horses continue to reinforce the reality of the PRE horse's relevance at all levels of this sport Our Grand Champions are: National Levels    Jaime Amian and Legend     Third Level                   21423 FEI Levels             Maria Lithander and Barbara HGF   Dev PSG         21382 Youth Levels        Sarah Roda and Quintanillo JJ     Third Level           20887   The National Levels was the most competitive division this past winter, with our winner, Jaime Amian of Spain, followed closely behind by Adult Amateur Kyle McIver with Churro and Emily Copeland with Falero Hacal in total results Maria Lithander and her mare Barbara HGF were consistent competitors in the Young Horse Prix St George, currently chasing a national ranking at this level in the top 10 Other competitors include former High Point Champions and consistent winner Janne Rumbough with Armas Zumbel, and Jacqueline Cuddy who debuted Malcarat at the international Grand Prix this season Youth rider Sarah Roda was the High Point winner of the Palm Beach Derby with Quintanillo and second highest scorer for the entire show that weekend with close to 76% at Third Level, a score which clinched her win against Sophia Schults and Idolo Americano, who were closely following her in USEF qualifying Junior classes Our thanks to all of these excellent pairs and congratulations to the Grand Champions
