Alborozo Rocks Breyerfest

After a challenging 52 hour drive from Malibu, California to the site of the 2010 World Equestrian Games WEG in Kentucky, Alborozo, the Breyerfest 2008 Celebration Horse, arrived in remarkable form Within minutes of his arrival, Alborozo pranced out of his stall across the Kentucky Horse Park field doing the Spanish Walk

Within hours, thousands of young Breyer horse collectors, vendors, distributors and enthusiasts from all over the country and as far as England and Germany descended upon the Kentucky Horse Park and engulfed Alborozo with outright adoration

Avi Cohen, accompanied by his crew, Tracy Lynn and Marco Castellon drove Alborozo and Uraneo from his Malibu, California facilities, Kilimanjaro Ranch to be honored by Breyer at Breyerfest 2008 and to demonstrate in-hand and Classical High School movements

The three day Breyerfest event featured continuous activities such as costume parties and equestrian exhibitions performed by guest horses and their Trainers Avi Cohen, Alborozo and Uraneo performed three times per day to a sold out crowd of 10,000 cheering spectators

Alborozo highlights at the 19th annual Breyerfest included:

• The sale of 6,000 commemorative limited edition models of Alborozo;
• The unprecedented breaking of the Alborozo mold by Breyer;
• The Breyer auction sale of a one of a kind Alborozo glazed model sculpted by Germany's Brigitte Eberl for a record setting bid of $ 13,50000;
• Avi Cohen signing sessions lasting three hours

USPRE wishes to also recognize the volunteer work of Scott Tibbetts who served the Kentucky Horse Park and Breyerfest as the attendant Emergency Medical Technician for working with Avi Cohen to purchase Alborozo models which he donated to the children in the Shriner's Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky Scott Tibbetts: " The children were very excited We talked about the Alborozo performances and the breaking of the model mold Each of the children are long term patients at the hospital undergoing orthopedic treatment There is nothing more gratifying than a child's smile Thank you Avi for helping to brighten these children's day !"
