Hampton Green Farm announces its Summer Dressage Festival from August 9th to August 17th in Fruitport, Michigan, featuring clinics with USPRE Advisory Board Members Lendon Gray and Victor Alvarez, and "Chicks and Spurs: A Not-for-Dressage-Queens-Only Summer Bash"

Victor Alvarez is a well known Grand Prix rider and teacher from Barcelona, Spain Since his visit to Wellington last february for the USPRE sponsored dressage clinic, Victor Alvarez competed in Europe and was in the running for selection for the Spanish Olympic Team Victor will be giving two 3 day clinics at the Hampton Green Farm's Michigan breeding and training facility, working with all breeds, from young horses through Grand Prix

Lendon Gray will begin the week with a two-day clinic Lendon is one of America's foremost dressage riders and teachers In addition to representing the US at two Olympics, she has established a long career of mentoring students through her numerous youth programs and activities, and most recently couached her long-time student Courtney King-Dye to a spot on this year's US Olympic Team In September, Lendon will take over the leadership of the Dressage Foundation, a non-profit organization that sponsors promising young American dressage riders She has long been an advocate of "alternate breeds" her term, and has been recently introduced to the qualities of the PRE horse: " I have to admit that I am fairly new in my experience with PRE horses But I now have 6 in my stable whose riders vary from a young girl to middle aged amateurs to an international rider Every one of these riders is suitably mounted and is showing successfully in open shows with high scores What I love most about the PRE's is that they are all sensitive horses to ride, but all are totally sensitive: no sullenness, no unnecessary spooking They come out each day in the same way and are all eager to learn and to please I'm hooked !"

The "Chicks in Spurs" Party will take place on Monday evening, August 11th, and will feature a number og highlights including a parade of bloodstock and a riding exhibition featuring the Pure Spanish Horses of Hampton Green farm as well as a number of warmblood horses and dressage riders from Western Michigan Dinner will be followed by dancing under the tents to DJ Antoine, and a silent auction and cash bar will be provided VIP tables are selling rapidly
