El Espiritu Shines

El Espiritu, a five year old PRE stallion by Gaucho III and owned by Jennifer Coyle Johnson of JC Andalusians stood out from the crowd again this week at the VADA/NOVA Open Dressage Sport Horse Breed shows I and II held in Leesburg, VA June 18th and 19th 2008 El Espiritu was handled by Christine Smith, a veteran to the DSHB world El Espiritu known as "Stu", won his open stallion classes and went on to win Reserve Champion stallion at both shows qualifying him for the East Coast Championship to be held at Dressage at Devon in September 2008 At the VADA/NOVA breed shows Stu also took top honors in the Andalusian/Lusitano IBC classes as well as winning the Open High Score Andalusian trophy The highlight of the shows was when Stu received the Born in the USA award at the VADA/NOVA summer breed show II on June 19th The Born in the USA award is given to the highest scoring horse born in the United States
