At the recent meeting of the Board of Directors, Joan Mack was approved as the new Executive Director for USPRE Ms Mack has been involved with USPRE since its inception, first as Secretary to the Board, and then Executive Administrator, assisting the Management Committee with its directives The Executive Director is a wholly volunteer position and involves representation of the organization, overseeing the administrative responsibilities, and assisting the Board of Directors in decision making and implementation

Ms Mack has an extensive background in non-profit work as well as experience with PRE horse farm management Prior to her work as Business Manager of Hampton Green Farm, Ms Mack served on the Board of Directors of United Way of Ottawa County, Michigan, for 7 years and was Executive Director of United Way Ottawa County for over two years In January 2010, after four years with Hampton Green Farm, Ms Mack assumed the full time position of Executive Administrator of the Van Kampen Boyer Molinari Foundation, a family foundation with established relationships in Western Michigan and in Equestrian-related charities In both roles, Ms Mack has given considerable time and energy into the development of the USPRE, utilizing both her non-profit experience as well as her work with equestrian organizations to the benefit of USPRE She is personally invested in the membership and fully committed to the goals of the organization Ms Mack is married and lives with her husband and grand-daughter in Grand Haven, Michigan and Wellington, Florida
