We are pleased to announce that Madelyn Guthrie was the recipient of the USPRE High Point Award at the Lendon Gray Youth Dressage Festival Midwest at Hampton Green Farm in Michigan last month USPRE also wishes to acknowledge Madelyn's thoughtful expression of thanks to USPRE -

" I wanted to thank USPRE for sponsoring the Highpoint Award ribbon and the beautiful USPRE bag where I can store all my show gear, and most of all, for supporting all of us kids

I had my first experience riding a PRE last year when Maureen and Cludies Sharp of Red Raven Farm allowed me to ride their beautiful and flashy stallion Bolero in the Lendon Gray Emerging Dressage Athlete Program Bolero was my first introduction to the Spanish breed and I fell in love with the talent and beauty and kind nature and fun personality of the PRE Bolero taught me so much and not just about riding He was always well behaved and even though he is a stallion you would never know it due to his steady temperment and gentle demeanor I was invited by Kim Boyer thank you ! to be a working student at Hampton Green Farm in Michigan this past summer and it was the experience of a lifetime ! In addition to working at the barn and helping with chores, I was also able to work with the babies and I was lucky to be able to ride Bolero again for the entire time I was a working student I also rode another PRE stallion, the flashy Lentisco who is talented and fun I rode Bolero and Lentisco in several clinics with Lendon Gray and lessons with Andrea Landis and we were a part of many exhibitions held at Hampton Green Farm at night under the lights Bolero loves showing off and I think he knew he was the star of the show After spending the summer at Hampton Green Farm and riding and learning so much about the PRE horse, it was so exciting to watch Kim's horse Grandioso in the Olympics with Danny  Martin riding I had the opportunity to ride with Danny in Wellington, Florida and hope he returns to Wellington so we can hear more about his Olympic experiences on a PRE
