Third day at the 2014 World Equestrian Games

2014.08.27
On Monday and Tuesday, the performances offered by PRE horses served to classify for the Grand Prix Special at the seventh World Equestrian Games, currently underway  At 11:20, José Antonio García Mena riding Norte Lovera—owned by Yeguada Lovera—entered the arena, to earn the best average in the Grand Prix  Of course, this is standard practice for these contestants at international competitions  After a brilliant first exercise and a few slip-ups half way through the test, horse and rider surpassed the score earned the previous day to achieve 72689% —the highest average earned to date by Norte Lovera in a Grand Prix Special

The judges granted the following scores:
Judge C president: Susan HOEVENAARS – 69804
 Judge H: Dietrich PLEWA – 73235
 Judge M: Isabelle JUDET – 72745
 Judge E: Stephen CLARKE – 73824
 Judge B: Liselotte FORE – 73922
 Judge K: Francis VERBEEK – 75098
 Judge F: Elizabeth MC MULLEN – 70196

Once Norte finished, there were still 20 horses/riders waiting to perform, including Grandioso III, owned by Hampton Green Farm, bred by Yeguada Marín García and ridden by José Daniel Martín Dockx Upon entering the arena about 1:45 pm, they offered a good test to earn 74090 in the Grand Prix  Our hearts are sent on this horse and rider, who, with a bit of luck, will qualify for the Kür—Grandioso really knows how to shine!
