Jacqueline Cuddy and Malcarat

Mid-year is approaching and our USPRE Dressage Team has been busy training and competing The USPRE Dressage Team is selected from the winners and reserves of the Copa USPRE They are our representatives in the Dressage circuits across the country

The Florida circuit wrapped up this spring, as the rest of the country is beginning to come alive with shows in all regions As our riders report in, we can see that each of them are continuing to improve and to represent the PRE breed with excellence

Nicholas Fyffe and Fiero HGF

This pair made many positive developments in the past 6 months, while training with Robert Dover in Florida Their scores at national Intermediare I in Wellington ranged up to 71% They were the USPRE FL Series Grand Champions for the FEI Division, and are currently on the Developing List for Dressage Australia In May, Fiero and Nicholas traveled back to Canada where they will prepare for Dressage at Devon—their first international CDI

Janne Rumbough and Junior

Junior had a very good season this past winter in Wellington, doing 4 CDIs at Global Dressage Festival and, out of 30 riders in every GP class, qualified for the Freestyle, finishing 5th twice  In the national classes, Junior received first places and scores of 678% at GP, and 76625% in the Freestyle We hope to see this pair again representing USPRE at the USDF Nationals in the fall, where they have always been a top contender

Felicitas Von Neumann and Aragon GAF

Aragon GAF, a 6 year old PRE Stallion, is continuing to move up in his work Following a successful year at FEI 5 Year Old level, he started his show season this year by winning High Score at 2nd level with 686 He then went on to win the FEI 6 year old qualifier at a subsequent competition He also won the breed class there that qualified him for Devon Felicitas has ridden Aragon with Morten Thomsen twice and is very excited about his development

Susan Treabess and Kamiakin

This pair had a stellar year in 2014 as part of the United States Para Equestrian Team for the World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France This year, they have done one show so far, the Golden State Dressage CDI 3 at Rancho Murieta CA Kamiakin won all of his classes at 4th level open division with scores up to 68% Watch for them at the Paralympic Qualifier for Rio in June, also at Rancho Murieta

Jacqueline Cuddy and Malcarat

Many of you saw this pair in their amazing Freestyle at the USPRE Party in Wellington in January Since then, they have been busy at home in Central Florida with their trainer, Belinda Nairn, fine tuning the movements for an upcoming debut at Grand Prix  They are hoping to be ready to do their first Grand Prix this fall, if not before Jacqui reports that Malcarat is very happy and confident at this level and she can’t wait to get him out in the ring

Andrea Landis and Brioso HGF

Six Year Old Brioso continues to move along in his training, thanks in part to Andrea’s work with Christine Traurig In their first show of the season last month in Waterloo, MI, they had scores of 70% and 733% at Second Level, posting the highest score of the day in the entire show  They also received a perfect 10- for one of their final halts Andrea reports that they are preparing to debut a Second Level freestyle in 2 weeks
