EARN THE CATEGORY OF IMPROVER STOCK The results of the latest genetic assessment, performed within the framework of the PRE Breeding Program, sponsored by ANCCE National PRE Breeders’ Association of Spain through the MERAGEM research group—a certified genetics center—have informed that there are seven PRE horses that have been considered as IMPROVER BREEDING STOCK, together with Ermitaño III, who is already considered Elite Breeding Stock  These horses are: Pollensa 16 years old owned by Hermanos Molero Malo and bred by Ganadería Valdefresno Lironsilla 9 years old owned by Yeguada Palazuelos Norte and bred by Hdros de Salvador  Guardiola Fantoni Adelfa XX 9 years old owned by Yeguada La Troyeta and bred by Yeguada Velasco-González Artista M Suay 12 years old owned and bred by Rafael Martínez Suay Indio JT 9 years old owned and bred by Yeguada Juan Tirado Educado X 22 years old owned by Rafael Ayala Muñoz and bred by Hrdos de Salvador Guardiola Fantoni Duque CXIII 7 years old owned and bred by Yeguada Las Arenas These three mares and four sire stallions have surpassed the established requirements  Such requirements include attaining a genetic index above the average for the population evaluated and exceeding the established minimal repeatable dependability level which is 60%  This genetic index is obtained by increasing the number of participations from relatives offspring, siblings, etc in the performance controls established by the Breeding Program  In this case, the controls correspond to the Lineal Conformational Scale   This breeding stock will be registered in the PRE Stud Book Improver Breeding Stock Register and their names will be listed in the corresponding breeding stock catalog Likewise, the corresponding stamp will be attached to their names on the PRE Stud Book web site and in their passports  Moreover, a diploma indicating this achievement will also be sent to the owner/s    ANCCE, as the body recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment to carry out the Breeding Program, recommends that breeders use these horses as breeding stock to achieve greater dissemination of PRE improvements and maximize the genetic progress as quickly as possible
